 The unit of length is the basic unit used by people to measure the length of objects in space. Different countries have different units of length. There are many types of length unit conversion methods in the world, including traditional Chinese length units, international standard length units, imperial length units, astronomical length units, etc. In our daily life, study, and enterprise production and operation, the conversion of length units is inseparable. Below is a list of conversion formulas between different units, hoping to better help you.

In the International System of Units, the standard unit of length is "meter", represented by the symbol "m". These length units are all metric.

The conversion formula between international standard length units is as follows:

1 kilometer/km=1000 meters/m=10000 decimeter/dm=100000 centimeters/cm=1000000 millimeters/mm

1 millimeter/mm=1000 micron/μm=1000000 nanometer/nm

Traditional Chinese units of length include miles, feet, feet, etc. The conversion formula is as follows:

1 mile = 150 feet = 500 meters.

2 miles = 1 kilometer (1000 meters)

1  = 10 feet,

1 foot = 3.33 meters,

1 foot = 3.33 decimeters

A few European and American countries, mainly the United Kingdom and the United States, use imperial units, so the length units they use are also different, mainly miles, yards, feet, and inches. The conversion formula for imperial length units is as follows: Mile (mile) 1 mile = 1760 yards = 5280 feet = 1.609344 kilometers Yard (yard, yd) 1 yard = 3 feet = 0.9144 meters Fathom (f, fath, Fa, ftm) 1 fathom = 2 yards = 1.8288 meters Wave (furlong) 1 wave = 220 yards = 201.17 meters Feet (foot, ft, the plural is feet) 1 foot = 12 inches = 30.48 centimeters Inch (inch, in) 1 inch = 2.54 centimeters

In astronomy, "light-year" is commonly used as the unit of length. It is the distance traveled by light in a vacuum state in one year, so it is also called a light-year.

The conversion formula for astronomical length units is as follows:

1 light year=9.4653×10^12km

1 parsec = 3.2616 light years

1 astronomical unit≈149.6 million kilometers

Other length units include: meter (Pm), megameter (Mm), kilometer (km), decimeter (dm), centimeter (cm), millimeter (mm), silk meter (dmm), Centimeters (cmm), micrometers (μm), nanometers (nm), picometers (pm), femtometers (fm), ammeters (am), etc. Their conversion relationship with meters is as follows:

1PM =1×10^15m

1Gm =1×10^9m

1Mm =1×10^6m

1km=1×10^3m

1dm=1×10^(-1)m

1cm=1×10^(-2)m

1mm=1×10^(-3)m

1dmm =1×10^(-4)m

1cmm =1×10^(-5)m

1μm=1×10^(-6)m

1nm =1×10^(-9)m

1pm=1×10^(-12)m

1fm=1×10^(-15)m

1am=1×10^(-18)m
